Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC), a group jointly operated by ASCE, NSPE and ACEC, provides contracts and support documents for public and private infrastructure projects.  EJCDC is completing the latest update of its construction contract series, led by its flagship document, C-700  General Conditions of the Construction Contract.

This series is scheduled to be released in first quarter 2013.  The 2013 update will be a significant revision with changes to the construction claims process, provisions to facilitate use of digital documents and other improvements to address current construction industry and legal trends.

This presentation will provide attendees with an overview of the EJCDC 2013 Construction Documents and an understanding of:

  • The EJCDC document development process
  • The types of projects that typically use EJCDC documents
  • How EJCDC documents are intended to be used
  • Key revisions in the 2013 series and how they differ from prior editions
  • How to obtain and implement the new series
